Historic family-owned four-star hotel in Venice run by the same family since 1908, the Hotel Saturnia is housed in 14th-century palace owned by the Pisani family, whose most illustrious member, Vettor Pisani (1324-1380) was the Admiral of the powerful fleet of the Republic of Venice during the wars with the Genoese for the control over the trading routes in the Mediterranean sea.
